Patagonia Hiroshima was inspired by the culture of the Chugoku region. The interior design is based on iron, paying homage to the culture of tatara iron and steel, which has developed in the Chugoku region since ancient times. Also, old wood, stone, and old bricks were incorporated, taking a cue from the burnt cedar and stone architecture of Hiroshima Castle and the historical red brick buildings that remain throughout the prefecture. The walls and floors of the restrooms are covered with carbon dioxide-absorbing ceramic tiles, and the aggregate is made from oyster shells, a specialty of Hiroshima, to maintain the sustainable mindset that is typical of Patagonia.
An area near the entrance is available for anyone to take a break, have a meeting, or meet up. It is equipped with chairs and tables, making it a relaxing community space. , and a large selection of books and DVDs will provide plenty of inspiration for outdoor sports and nature.
A new base where people can connect with the local community and gather in a casual atmosphere. The opening of Patagonia Hiroshima is just around the corner.
