The theme of this year's edition, "Skateboarding and Skate Teams," was the same as the Series, with the skateboarding magazine "Sb" editor-in-chief Chiichiro Ozawa and photographer Taro Hirano as hosts, and invited guests such as YOPPI (T-19, Hombre Niño), Toru Yoshida (NEW), Katsumi Minami (Evisen), and other key figures in the scene. Chiichiro Ozawa
Writer/editor, after energetically covering skateboarding culture in the U.S. as editor-in-chief of "WHEEL magazine," the first skateboarding magazine in Japan, in the 1990s, he published "Sb SkateboardJournal" in 2001. Since then, he has been writing not only about street culture but also about various aspects of domestic and international media while publishing regularly. His new trilogy of panda photogravure books, "HELLO PANDA," "PANDA MENTAL," and "HELLO PANDA CAKE," are now on sale.
Tairo Hirano (member of the Imperial family)
Photographer. Studied photography as a contemporary art form at Musashino Art University. Later, he worked as an assistant at Kodansha and was involved in the launch of "WHEEL magazine" and "Sb," a skateboarding magazine, where he served as photo editor. Since then, he has been active in advertising, CD jackets, and fashion and culture magazines. His major works include the photo books "POOL", "Los Angeles Car Club", and "The Kings".
YOPPI
Rider of T-19, designer of Hombre Niño, and a core member of T-19, the first skate team in Tokyo, established in 1984, he is an absolute key man in the Tokyo skate scene. He is also the driving force behind Pisto Beam, and after working in the fashion scene at stores such as HECTIC, he is now the designer of his own brand, Hombre Niño. He has also been active as a DJ from the 90's to the present, and has always been trusted by the youth of the street.
Toru Yoshida
Rider of "NEWTYPE". Born in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. At the age of 17, he became a member of the AJSA Pro Class and competed in the AJSA Pro Tour until 1999. 1996, he won 2nd place in the ProStreet division of the annual ranking. Currently, he has changed his focus to the media, working mainly for magazines and video shoots. During his active career, he has produced numerous masterpieces, including his signature treflip, and has earned the name of "Style Master.
Katsumi Minami
Director of "Evisen Skateboards". A key figure in the new generation of skateboarders, the director of "Evisen Skateboards" is a local skateboarder from Ikebukuro, Tokyo, who is rapidly growing at a rapid pace. In recent years, he has also demonstrated his skills as a filmmaker, and the team's first full-length film "Evisen Video" was previewed in more than 10 cities in Japan and abroad, creating a huge buzz. His apparel line is also doing well, with collaborations with SSZ and adidas skatebording.
