When I hear the word "zine festival," my heart tingles, my mind races, and my feet take a step forward . . well, that's an exaggeration, but I'm looking forward to this event. SNOW SHOVELING and BRICK & MORTAR, a bookstore and gallery in Komazawa, have jointly held the "ZINE SONIC" for the past two years, and this year's event will be held again.
While New York City was the keyword for 2014 and 2015, ZINE SONIC 2016 will focus on Tokyo, across the Pacific Ocean. Various zines by Tokyo zine makers will be the main focus, as well as overseas zines purchased by "Snowshoveling" and original sakosh for sale.
Artists will be present on different weekends during the exhibition period. On the weekends during the exhibition period, the artists will be present at their shops on different days, and you will be able to experience their passionate or lukewarm feelings. At the closing reception, "OSIDA AYA" will perform live.
