Directed and written by Ari Aster, this is his feature film directorial debut. . America is a country that has produced one great filmmaker after another. The genius of his conception and direction, the calculated script in which every scene foreshadows the terror of the final scene, and the extraordinary degree of perfection are said to have made this film a new achievement in horror films. The Grahams' grandmother, Ellen, has died. Daughter Annie, along with her husband Steven, son Peter, who is in high school, and daughter Charlie, who is not good with people, try to overcome the grief of the loss of their family member. They are unaware that they have inherited something terrible from Ellen. Soon after, strange events began to occur frequently in the Graham household. Strange lights running through the rooms, the sound of someone talking, the presence of someone in the dark... . Charlie, who was doted upon by his grandmother, stares into the void with an eerie expression on his face, as if he senses "something" she left behind. Then the worst thing happens, and the family falls apart beyond repair. The family is then struck with unimaginable horror. "If you inherit it, you die. Although he never revealed the details, the director also had a very bad experience when he "inherited" a certain thing.
I can't give any spoilers, of course, but I can say that the film takes the viewer beyond the "worst of what the audience can imagine. But I hope you will take this as the highest praise for this film. There are a lot of good movies coming out this weekend, but this one is really not to be missed. . it is a horror film, though, so take it with an open mind.
