This August, Mr. Fujita presented "BEACH," a performance inspired by and created for the theme of "Trippen's" 2018SS "Water" collection, at the Harajuku vacant. And at the end of this December, he will present "BOOTS" at LUMINE0 in Shinjuku, completing this series. Of course, you can enjoy one of them alone. Furthermore, he will be touring Kagawa, Niigata, Kumamoto, and Fukuoka with these two works completed throughout the past year.
The background of this collaboration also comes from a perspective that is truly unique to Mr. Fujita. Trippen" celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, and in its history, more than 2,500 designs have been released. And it is a surprising fact that not a single design has ever been discontinued. In the exhibition halls where new designs are presented every summer and winter, not only the latest designs created based on the season's concept are on display, but also many of the collections presented in the past are also on display. Mr. Fujita was shocked by the power of this accumulation, and was eager to collaborate with "Trippen," and the collaboration was realized.
In an age when it is considered as if it is a career move for a talent who has been noticed in the theater to move into television, Mr. Fujita has stayed in the theater and continues to expand the boundaries of the theater.
