Do you know Yuta Hirai, a freelance writer? Yuta Hirai was inspired by art and graduated from an art college in New York, but after a sudden hiatus, he became a freelance writer. He has interviewed many politicians and philosophers, including Jose "Pepe" Mujica, the former president of Uruguay, who became a topic of conversation as "the poorest president in the world. He is now based in Fukushima after the earthquake disaster. Yuta Hirai's solo exhibition, "BIOCRACY" will be held from November 22 (Tue.).
Hirai calls his interactions, conversations, and interviews "social scapes," and the broad range of people he has met through these activities inspired the idea for this solo exhibition. This exhibition will be a summary of Hirai's past work, in which he considers all social activities to be "art.
The co-producers of this exhibition are Minna Denryoku, an electric power company , and Adidas, which was the first company in the world to purchase naming rights for electric power. Lee Perry, producer of Bob Marley. Dadaquan , an avant-garde artist. A man in Higashi Osaka who is devoted to researching the regeneration of waste batteries, and a long-established sake brewery that sponsors the Aizu Electric Power Project, make for a truly unique cast of characters. The number of characters and the unusual combination of characters make this an unprecedented solo exhibition.
. Curated by Chim↑Pom, an artist collective that continues to present stimulating works that include social aspects from the art side. This is a great team-up because both share the same avant-garde spirit.
The opening party will be held today, the 22nd, at "Garter" in Koenji, and legendary producer Yoshio Yasushi will be the guest speaker.
