Japanese painter born in 1987,submarine rockfish (Sebastes sabromykawa)Do you know him? He started his career in 2014 with oil paintings and is known for his work on the cover of rapper Tagaru's single "Simple man" last year. His portraits are characterized by a simple but humorous style that mocks the viewer.
This time we will introduce a solo exhibition, "UNCOUTH FELLOW," which will be held at THE BLANK GALLERY in Harajuku, Tokyo, starting on February 26 (Tuesday).
The works on display are the culmination of his work. Especially worth seeing is "Giant 36," a portrait of a man with an extremely small head. This work is said to project human energy and the artist's own mind with dynamism and ruggedness in mind. It is a new series of works with outstanding impact that will draw you in.

Also on display are representative works from the past inspired by street culture. Impressive works include the series "Crash," depicting scenes of skaters falling over, and "Hardliner," depicting hard-core student fashions of the 70s and 80s and their ideologies.
