Collarless shirts are very useful in many ways. The absence of a collar creates a moderately relaxed atmosphere, yet does not make the shirt too rough, so it can be worn in a wide range of situations.
This collarless shirt was issued to the U.S. Army as a sleeping shirt in the 1950s. It has snap buttons for easy on and off because it is a sleeping shirt, and the lack of cuffs allows for a loose fit, which is also impressive.
