OPENING CEREMONY has collaborated with Jiro Konami, a photographer currently based in New York. Under the title "JIRO KONAMI FOR OPENING CEREMONY," T-shirts featuring archived works by Mr. Konami will be on sale.
Six different photos expressing the current state of New York and Tokyo, including photos that capture moments of reality, with Mr. Onami's unique visual worldview that resonates with OPENING CEREMONY BLACK LABEL's 19SS season theme "QUIRKY REALITY" (eccentric reality). Printed on the front. On the back is a special item with a message about each photo.
JIRO KONAMI FOR OPENING CEREMONY" items will be released sequentially at "OPENING CEREMONY OMOTESANDO" from May 31, 19:00, "KASHIYAMA DAIKANYAMA" from June 1, 11:00 and "OPENING CEREMONY JAPAN ONLINE" from 12:00.

Furthermore, to commemorate this collaboration, an installation by Mr. Onami will be held at OPENING CEREMONY OMOTESANDO at the same time. The installation will be exhibited with specially framed photographs taken for OPENING CEREMONY in both New York and Tokyo using the instax "Cheki" camera. A reception party will be held on May 31 at 7:00 p.m., which is open to everyone, so please come and check out the collaboration items as well.
