Casio's G-SHOCK, synonymous with toughness, has signed a global partnership agreement with professional basketball player Rui Yamura.
He was the first Japanese player to be selected in the first round of the U.S. professional basketball league draft held this past June. In his NBA debut as a player for the Washington Wizards, Yamura recorded a double-double (double-digits in two of the five categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots), and is now in the groove.
Hachimura's tough attitude, which has led him from Japan to overseas, and G-SHOCK, which continues to shock the wristwatch world by constantly taking on new challenges, have resonated with each other.
