Street Culture x Hasamiyaki. Look out for Black Eye Patch's new attempt.

Weaponizing our deep ties to art and music, we disseminate street culture from a variety of angles.BlackEyePatch.is a manufacturer of Hasami-yaki pottery, a traditional Japanese craft.MARUHIRO.In collaboration with The exhibition and sale "'Handling Caution' - MARUHIRO x BlackEyePatch presented by en one tokyo" will be held at the gallery "COMMON" in Harajuku from tomorrow, November 21 (Thu) to 24 (Sun).

Black eye patches and Hasami-ware. The combination is too unexpected, but it is covered by the street-inspired sense of mixing and matching. The artist skillfully mixes the strengths of the two, sublimating them into street art, including a collage of pottery, a vase in the shape of the Flying Lady emblem of Rolls-Royce, and a porcelain incense holder in the shape of an American beer bottle.

This is a redesign by Black Eye Patch of a traditional pottery pattern of ice cracks. If you look closely, you can see the brand logo and the words "Handle with Care. The unique copper-plate transfer process of rubbing and chipping has been intentionally applied to give this piece a deep, rich look.

This collaboration is not bound by nostalgia, but rather, it is a way to bring traditional Japanese crafts into the present while adding new values.
