The concept store "M.I.U. Nº2" is located in the popular Shibuya Parco complex that has just opened. It is positioned as the so-called second store of "M.I.U." near the Meguro River.
M.I.U." has placed not only clothes but also highly artistic items, and "M.I.U. Nº2" seems to be no exception to this rule, apparently actively proposing art.
Taking place at "M.I.U. Nº2" from Saturday, December 14, ) to Sunday, December 22, (, is an exhibition and sale of poster works by London-based artist duo CHOPPED LIVER PRESS.
The posters exhibited and for sale in this exhibition are 100 hand-printed silkscreens of quotations and sayings that have influenced the artist in the past, each on a selected page of The New York Times newspaper. Each poster has a different specification, as the foundation of each piece of paper is different from the others.
In conjunction with the exhibition, TWELVE BOOKS, a distributor specializing in art books, will open an in-shop at M.I.U. Nº2 on December 14 (Sat. )), the same day the exhibition opens. Art books curated by TWELVE BOOKS will also be available for purchase (the TWELVE BOOKS in-shop will not be open for a limited time).
The red letters are impressive, and even if you don't understand the meaning, you may be able to relate to the coolness of the prints. We hope you will try to start a life of decorating with art.

CHOPPED LIVER PRESS
A publishing project led by Adam Bloomberg, a London-based artist duo, and Oliver Chanarin, who was born in London, England.
Adam Bloomberg and Oliver Chanarin met when they were editors at the Italian quarterly magazine COLORS, and have worked together for more than a decade since,
He has had solo exhibitions in museums around the world, including Belgium, Mexico, and the Netherlands, and has participated in numerous international group exhibitions, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2014, New York) and KW, Institute for Contemporary Art.
In 2013, they were the first artist duo to win the Deutsche Börse Photography Award for their book "War Primer 2" (MACK)), and in 2014 they won the ICP Infinity Award for their book "Holy Bible" (MACK).
His work is in the collections of the Tate, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the City Art Museum Amsterdam, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the International Center of Photography, and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
