Harajuku gallery COMMON's next focus is on Gakiya Isamu Gakiya. His solo exhibition "Pineal body" will open this week.

The Harajuku gallery "COMMON" has been holding a series of exhibitions that accurately capture the current mood of the city. HOUYHNHNM's has often featured this gallery, and Gakiya Isamu's solo exhibition "Pineal Body," which opens on March 27 (Fri.), looks interesting, so we will introduce it here.

Illustrator and artist Isamu Gakiya has created artwork for numerous musicians such as YUKI, Lime Star, and Fuji Fabric. His pop style is based on the world of postwar American horror and science fiction films and American comic books, which he says have influenced his work.

Pineal body" will feature past drawings and collages, as well as a large-scale work created especially for this exhibition. The contents of this exhibition will allow visitors to fully enjoy the world of Isamu Gakiya.
