WONK's 4th album "EYES" will be released on June 17! One of the biggest ever is now complete.

HOUYHNHNM's radio "WALKER'S CLUB HWONK, the experimental soul band of Kento Nagatsuka, who is the first guest of the "EYES" series, will release the digital version of their fourth album "EYES" on Wednesday, June 17, which is the culmination and masterpiece of their continuous redefinition of Japanese music.

This album includes all the songs from the "Moon Dance" EP included in "Orange Mug", the single "Signal", and "HEROISM", which marks the beginning of the new WONK sound. . In addition, it is a blockbuster album containing 22 songs in total, including 10 new songs.

The theme of the project is the diversity of values and the universe in the advanced information society. The production of the album began with the creation of a script for the fictional film "Eyes" in collaboration with various writers, against the backdrop of selective contact with information, expressed in terms such as "filter bubble" and "echo chamber," and the social divisions that this contact brings about. In addition to the digital album, the special "Art Book + CD" package, which will be available for complete pre-order only, will feature a CG visual image, lyrics and bilingual translation for each song. The 3DCG was created by up-and-coming artist nagafujiriku, the same artist who did the official audio for "HEROISM" , and the binding was done by graphic designer Koshi Makabe.

The album "EYES" is a concept album for today's society where various values intersect. I feel that this is happening more and more. Is the situation described by the term "echo chamber" really a healthy state of affairs? The various "Eyes" that live around you and away from you, under different values, may not seem to match your own values, but they will surely provide you with some kind of nourishment in your own life.
We hope that this album will inspire people to take some kind of action by presenting the meaning of accepting various "EYES" and continuing to think about them throughout life through the songs and art book. It is a question to the listeners as well as to us, the creators of the album. To put it simply, it is a work that contains our desire to regain our own "measure of self.
