Q: What did you keep in mind when painting Mr. Botsu this time?

A: Mr. Otsuji, the creator of Botsu-san, consistently has a comfortable blank space in his photographs, so I tried to make the most of it in my paintings. I always paint my own work with a sense of comfort and groove in mind.

Q: What did you keep in mind when painting Mr. Botsu this time?

A: The world of Mr. Botsu, a fictional character who doesn't really exist, but who would be very interesting if he were real. We don't know where he is or if he is real. A world where the beautiful "red" is the main character. I felt a sense of freedom and licentiousness toward gender and sexuality, and I felt as if I was in a different world from the one I usually live in. I dared to ignore Mr. Botsu's world and just defaced Mr. Otsuji's photographs as if they were my own ego, or rather, a doodle book. In fact, I treated them badly, with the paper peeling off and the ink sticking to each other. In fact, I wanted to add to it before handing it to Mr. Otsuji, so I put the photo on the ground in the tunnel under Saigoyama Park and sprinkled spray and dripped ink on it. Somehow, it seemed like the right thing to do. It was only a doodle, and I put my whole heart and soul into it, but I put a lot of energy into it.

A: As always, I create my works without giving any deep meaning to the graphics. This time, too, I enjoyed the changes that occur when photographs and graphics are combined, and arranged the graphics in such a way that the viewer could sense Mr. Botsu's playful spirit.
