I was on a street around Takadanobaba, which I happened to be visiting for the first time in 17 years. Just as it started to rain, I received the music from Mar-kun, a curry shop owner. It was Yuzo Kayama's "Let's go, baby! The moment I heard it, the purple dusky cloud in front of me opened up, and an image of Mr. Kayama rained down on me, taking me to the glittering sky and beyond. When I was talking with Mr. Kayama about the universe, he told me about the Mandelbrot set. He said that the diagram expressed from that definition would look like a mandala or Buddha when drawn. Since then, such an image has always been in the background of Mr. Kayama's work. Even a momentary flash of light, like a shooting star, makes me pause and decipher the phenomena occurring there, and I feel as if I am exploring the world of the universe in my mind. Things emerge in the darkness. How do they appear in your eyes, Mr. Kayama?"

I worked with the image of the San Francisco nightscape while listening to Mr. Kayama's music and the tuned-up songs. The image of the red Golden Gate Bridge, neon lights, and cigarettes. All the images I felt of this song were faithfully put into the piece. I am personally very satisfied with the result, and I would write another piece like this if I could. This project is very meaningful to me. I am waiting for the feeling of being involved in a project of Mr. Kayama, who is an important figure in Japanese culture that transcends generations. I feel like I want to work hard with everyone so that in the future, we can have various cultural exchanges that transcend generations and countries!

In addition to T-shirts, we also created this special item. The name of the item is "Kayama's Sleeves. The item was invented by Mr. Kayama, who is sensitive to the heat, to make him look dressed up even when he wears a T-shirt or sleeveless under a jacket. The item was reproduced at the bespoke tailor "Sartoria Yamacchi" in Aoyama under the supervision of Atsushi Okubo of "Stylist Japan". The accompanying drawstring bag is hand-embroidered by embroidery artist Sawako Ninomiya, one by one, with great care.

Ten different colors. Each of the T-shirts is filled with the individuality of each artist, but they all certainly have the scent of Yuzo Kayama, and when you look at them from a bird's eye view, they are strangely cohesive. Perhaps this is also the result of Waka-Daisho's broad-mindedness.
