Whether you are interested in sneakers or not, the two brands are sure to tickle your fancy when they are put side by side. This is a collaboration between Stussy and Nike.
The two have worked together many times before, and when they work together to create the Air Force 1, they are in a perfect position to take on the challenge. Lookout & Wonderland, an artist based in Los Angeles, California, dyed the shoes by hand, resulting in a special shoe with a different look and feel for each one.
All natural dyes used are ethically sourced, and the products are earth-friendly, using vegetable dyes that have good color and medicinal properties that soothe the skin.
The five colors in the lineup represent Stussy's world tour cities of New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, and Paris, respectively.
In addition, sustainable apparel items are now available. The fabrics are made of recycled nylon of 75% or higher and Eco-Down® by Thermore, with recycled polyester in place of feathers.
All are clad in translucent ripstop for a futuristic look. A nature-inspired green gradient print adds an accent.
The design is also wind and rain resistant, so bad weather is no problem. If you are looking for outdoor wear that also looks good, it is worth a look.
The sneakers will be available in limited quantities on the official online site for the U.S. version starting at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time) on Friday, January 29. Apparel, on the other hand, will go on sale at Chapter stores nationwide, Dover Street Market Ginza, and online at 10:00 a.m. (PST) on the same day.
