April 2 is Zokki Day! Manga artist Hiroyuki Ohashi depicts people, youth, love, lies, and secrets. It is true that Naoto Takenaka, Takayuki Yamada and Takumi Saito took the megaphone and made a live-action movie "Zokki".

Zokki" means to sell something at a discount, or to buy and sell everything at once.

This film cannot be summed up as a "00 movie" because there is no end to the elements that make up this film: love, youth, family, cursing, lies, secrets...the list is endless. It is truly a Zocchi-like film.

Today, the earth still revolves around "secrets and lies. A woman is stunned by the number of secrets her grandfather keeps, who advises her to "treasure your secrets and keep as many as you can. A man heads south with a bicycle and a sleeping bag, relying on the promise that he has no destination. A boy is told by the friend he has finally made that he has fallen in love with his sister, who is not supposed to be there. What are the consequences of these small incidents on the outskirts of town?

Based on the manga "Sokki A" and "Zokki B" by manga artist Hiroyuki Ohashi (published by Kanzen). This is a collection of Ohashi's early works, which are still fresh in our minds from the exceptionally successful animated film "Ongaku" (Music), and is a crazy collection of small stories that could be anywhere, but that you would never find even if you were looking for them.

Ohashi's works have many fans in the industry. In other words, the hurdles for live-action and animated films are quite high, but there are three directors who have taken on this pressure.

Naoto Takenaka, Takayuki Yamada, and Takumi Saito are actors who are indispensable to the Japanese film industry. These three actors, whose activities go beyond the boundaries of acting, have come together to create the live-action film "Zokki.

The characters in the manga were given shape by another splendid cast of performers. Riho Yoshioka plays Ryoko, who listens to false teachings from her grandfather; Ryuhei Matsuda plays Fujimura, who sets off on a journey with a mama-chariot and a sleeping bag, saying "I'm going south anyway, relying on an ate that I don't have a destination," and Kujo Joe from the comedy duo Koutei plays Ban, a young man in love with a friend's imaginary sister.

The dazzling cast includes Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Yusaku Mori, Fuku Suzuki, Pistol Takehara, Masanobu Ando, Pierre Taki, Kumi Koda, Reina Matsui, Jun Kunimura, and many more. The music, which is indispensable for Ohashi's works, is by Chara, who also served as music director for the first time. This is the first time for Chara to serve as music director.

The film's content is out of the ordinary, but it was supported by the city of Gamagori in Aichi Prefecture, Mr. Ohashi's hometown and the sacred place where the original story was born. The "Gamagori Project Committee for the Film "Zokki"" was formed as a public-private partnership, providing full support from production to release.
