As Dorothea Lange, a news photographer who greatly influenced the development of documentary photography, said, "A photograph not only records a moment, but also, depending on the timing and passage of time, evokes various emotions in the viewer and sometimes even enriches our lives.
Great Books, a bookstore that focuses on the theme of "life with photography," will open in Shimokitazawa in June. The online store will be launched on April 9 (Fri.).
The store is directed by Takashi Kumagai, a photographer, stylist, and other versatile artist.
The store features Kumagai's photographic works as well as art books, mainly photography collections.
Personal items of celebrities associated with photography and art will also be available for sale, and their thoughts and episodes will be described in the "CHOICE" page.
The first of these will feature books on fashion and architecture selected from Mr. Kumagai's personal collection. In addition, other domestic and international photography books, including Bruce Weber, will be sold at amazing prices.

And to celebrate the opening, a series of original souvenir items such as T-shirts and caps that will be sold exclusively will be released.

Souvenir items related to the photo, as well as vintage furniture, will be added in the future.
Details of the actual store, which will open in June, will be released at a later date. Until then, you can enjoy the "life with photos" in front of the display in anticipation of the opening.
