Many manufacturers nowadays use the word "sustainable," but when it comes to outdoor manufacturers, sustainable manufacturing has been practiced long before it became fashionable. Because they are constantly confronting nature, this spirit is embedded in their brand DNA as a matter of course.

Cotopaxi, a brand from Salt Lake City, U.S.A., is one such brand that has upheld the corporate philosophy of "GEAR FOR GOOD (social contribution through outdoor gear)" since its establishment in 2013. Cotopaxi has been actively taking action for the environment and supporting underdeveloped countries since its establishment in 2013, and this stance has influenced many brands.

This year, the brand finally landed in Japan in earnest, with a pop-up starting on April 23 (Fri.).

Cotopaxi's main products are bags and apparel. The most distinctive feature of the brand is its vivid coloring. By the way, no two items are alike. Why? In fact, the materials used by "Cotopaxi" are made by purchasing fabrics left over from the mass production process of other brands, and each craftsman working at the factory in the Philippines decides on the color scheme and makes the product. If you find a coloring that catches your eye, there is no time to hesitate. You will never find it again.

At the pop-up, a photo exhibition by professional surfer Dai Wako, who is also a brand partner, will be held at the same time. Other brands with a spirit of sustainability, such as the very popular stainless steel bottle "Hydro Flask®" and multifunctional towels "NOMADIX" made from recycled materials, will also be on display together.

The event will be held at the showroom of Arco International, a distributor that purchases all these brands from overseas.
