The Corona disaster had a great impact on society as a whole, but fashion, which reflects the times, sublimates its negatives into creations that bring us joy.
For example, the spring/summer 2009 collection by "beautiful people" expressed the emotions that fluctuate daily in the midst of restricted access to the outside world.
An installation reflecting the world view of the collection is currently being held at "JR Nagoya Takashimaya". The exhibition will run until May 23 (Wed.).
In this installation, a dress made of traditional French textile Toile de Jouy is exhibited. The artist poured tiny beads into the pockets between the fabrics, which we are usually unaware of, to express the unity of the sofa and the clothes.
The fusion of a majestic, museum-quality dress and beads that form a fluid silhouette shows Beautiful People's respect for the classics while at the same time trying to find new values.
Incidentally, during the exhibition, a campaign will be held at the JR Nagoya Takashimaya store of Beautiful People, where purchasers will receive a novelty hand pillow as a gift. In these times, why not feel the power of fashion to heal your mind for a short while?
