LGBTQQIA+ through music. Check out 10 diverse playlists on Spotify!

June is Pride Month. Various events are held around the world to promote awareness about LGBTQQIA+ rights.

In conjunction with this, "Spotify" has implemented various projects under the theme of "Claim Your Space" (i.e., pursue your own identity). Here in Japan, the creators of LGBTQQIA+ have released a playlist that represents a safe place where everyone can be themselves.

The following 10 creators are participating in the program.

Curators: Amide & Laura Ribeiro
Amiide & Laura are a couple of pop, house, Latin, R&B, etc.
A selection of music by LGBTQ artists from a variety of genres.

Curator: DJ kor
From Showa to city pop, 80's pop, house, jazz, etc,
A total of 157 songs to liven up the party consisting of a wide range of genres.

Curator: dj poipoi's (lower case)
Dance music and R&B,
The lineup includes the sweetest trucks in the world.

Curator: DJ SHIKISAI'S PARTY
Curated a total of 150 songs from the disco, house, and dance genres, both old and new.

Curator: Doul
Up-and-coming artist Doul chose,
These are the songs that I have heard so far that I feel I have been saved.

Curator: Takeshi Kizu
By a film and music writer who actively writes about LGBTQQIA+ culture,
A playlist celebrating the diverse brilliance of music by sexual minorities.

Curator: kemio
A total of 50 songs, ranging from the classics of yesteryear to contemporary pop and house.
The music you love and cherish, the music you have grown up with, are all on one playlist.

Curator: DSKE / MAYUDEPTH (MOTORPOOL)
Two members of MOTORPOOL, one of the best queer parties in Tokyo that pursues an intense and experimental space.
A diverse collection of electronic dance music.
