Designers Toshifumi Yamane and Asami Yamane have traveled extensively and have incorporated the things they have seen and experienced into their creations for "F/CE.
The theme has been various countries in the past, but this time it is China that has caught our attention. ASICS and COSTS, based in Shenzhen, China, have teamed up to launch trail shoes inspired by Lingnan architecture.
GEL-FUJITrabuco 9 ¥18,700
Lingnan architecture is an architectural style that exists in Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. Taking its distinctive silhouette and coloring as inspiration, we have added an arrangement to ASICS' GEL-Trabuco 9.
The color palette for the upper is based on a sandy coyote tone, with accents of orange and blue in various places.
As you can see from the lettering printed on the left forefoot, the material used is GORE-TEX. It keeps the inside of the shoe dry even in bad weather. Incidentally, this was designed to combat the frequent rain that falls in southern China.
Other features include "GEL Technology" in the heel to reduce damage when landing, and "ASICSGRIP Rubber" outsole that provides grip even on slippery terrain, ensuring the superior comfort of trail shoes.
Quick shoe laces are employed, and the specifications allow for easy removal and fit adjustment.
GEL-FUJITrabuco 9, a triple-named trail shoe with Chinese tradition, will go on sale on Friday, June 18.
