shunsuke shiga, a photographer who continues his alternative activities with experimental photographic expressions, will hold his first solo exhibition in about a year, "Hi there shunsuke shiga," starting today, June 26 (Sat.). . The location is "THE PLUG" located right in the middle of Harajuku and Shibuya.

In the previous exhibition, the technique used was to preview the images imported into the computer, bugger them with loads, and screenshot them, but this time, an X-ray machine was used to take the pictures. The contents of the unopened boxes, which were unobtainable, were photographed.

shunsuke shiga describes the circumstances that led to this shoot as follows.

I received a large package from Amazon that I had no idea what it was. As I opened and checked the unknown contents day after day, my curiosity grew and turned into anxiety and anger, and at the same time, I decided to document this strange event. I thought about whether there was a way to photograph the contents of the package in its unopened state, without subjectivity, and decided to try using an X-ray machine.

The photographs are created by removing the artist's own subjectivity and going outside of his consciousness. Please take this opportunity to experience the alternative sensibility of shunsuke shiga, who continues to explore the possibilities of photographic expression.
