The release date is soon to be August 7 (Sat.), and a special movie has been released to heighten the anticipation, which we will show you.

Director Mei Yong talks about his encounters with Vans, his thoughts on the brand, and the message behind the design, all in a single movie with photos taken by Mr. Mei himself in various countries. The first half of the movie is in his native Chinese, and the second half is in Japanese, a composition that is very typical of a brand that is expanding its business globally.

The phrase "DESTINATION UNKNOWN" was used frequently in the movie. This has been an important slogan of the brand since its establishment, and it has been incorporated into the design of the shoes produced in collaboration with "Vans.

The "Liberaders" travel the world while developing their collections, just like a band on a world tour, and even the director, Mr. Mei, does not know where they will go next...the destination is truly unknown. Based on this imagination, they have created a new capsule collection, so be sure to check it out as well.

This piece is based on a coach jacket with a water-repellent finish. The design includes the slogan "MAW (meiatworkphotography)" and a print of origami cranes.
