Vans, with its concept of "OFF THE WALL," surprises us not only with authentic models, but also with playful and unusual ones.
For example, the new "SUSHI PACK" sneaker collection introduced here is one such example. The inspiration for this collection came from those teacups you see at sushi restaurants, which are decorated with kanji characters in various fish versions.
OLD SKOOL ¥8,800 each
Two of the brand's iconic "Old School" and "Authentic" models were used as the base model. The traditional silhouettes that have shaped American skate culture are fused with traditional Japanese patterns.
AUTHENTIC ¥7,700 each
Kanji characters in the fish version are placed on a part of the upper as a general pattern. The unique finish is sure to generate such conversations as "What is the pronunciation of this kanji? This is a unique finish that is likely to generate such conversations.
Both models are available in black and white. This work, which is limited to Japan, is now available at "Vans Store" stores and some "ABC-MART" stores.
