Eternity seen beyond the accumulation of moments . New York-based photographer Yasuki Sato will hold a solo exhibition.

Yasuki Sato is a photographer based in New York. He continues to take photographs with the hope of expressing in his work the Japanese aesthetic of something decaying and desolate.

Sato's solo exhibition will be held here in Japan. The place is "THE PLUG" in Jingumae . First of all, please take a look at the works to be exhibited.

On display are 28 photographs taken in New York between 2020 and 2009. The photographs are fragments of ordinary, everyday life, but by capturing moments when different things overlap, they have an experimental finish that resembles fine art.

In this exhibition, based on his own question, "Is there eternity beyond the accumulation of moments?", Sato aimed to express the unique sense of emotion that can be seen and felt when different moments are superimposed on each other.

Nostalgia ¥8,200

In conjunction with the exhibition, "Nostalgia," a collection of 53 photographs including those in the exhibition, will be published by Paradigm, a New York-based publishing house with which Sato has close ties. The book will be sold in limited quantities at the exhibition venue, and will also be available at bookstores in Japan.

The exhibition will run from Friday, November 26 to Sunday, December 5.
