Since the early 1990s, artist Ryuji Kamiyama has used silkscreen and spray paint to create a wide variety of expressions, including two-dimensional works, ceramics, and three-dimensional works using neon signs and other materials.
HOUYHNHNM's has been following the trend, and now a collaboration with Teruhiko Tsuji, director of SÏVA, an old friend of Mr. Kamiyama's, has been announced.
This initiative was made at Shiva's back line, "avïs," which is in the midst of a limited-time online pre-order period (through February 20).
The two have worked together once before, collaborating by hand on eight different silkscreens.
The "Rat Face" features a customized layout of the music-based Avis band movement and the artwork that emerged from the fusion of curiosity and playfulness depicted by Ryuji Kamiyama.
In addition, Kento Yoshioka, who is a leader of the next generation skate scene, appears as a model in the visuals for this collaborative item.
