Timeless clothes by Uni Iroikas , the lookbook for 22 years has arrived.

Based in Osaka, "tomo kishida" makes clothes in a unique way. Tomo Kishida is a unique clothing manufacturer based in Osaka, Japan, that handles all processes from cotton cultivation to the production of clothing.

Uni Iroikas creates one-of-a-kind garments using the Sakiori technique, in which old cloth is ripped and reused as material for weaving.

For this collection, the designer reuses fabrics that have lost their way, such as toile that has served its purpose in the garment-making process, waste material cut off during weaving at textile mills, and fabric scraps that are not sufficient to make clothing.

Of course, because they are made from scrap materials, every garment is one-of-a-kind. Each garment is made by hand, and it takes several months to make one piece of clothing. The clothes have a charm and warmth that cannot be found in ready-made items, and this is because they are made through a process that involves the blood of the wearer.

Rather than fashion, perhaps it is more appropriate to call them products. What "Uni Iroikas" creates is something that will last for generations to come, regardless of gender or time period.

In addition, the pursuit of design possibilities and fun centered on Sakiori has led to upcycled product creation as a result. In a world where people loudly call for sustainability, this is the kind of creation that is essentially sustainable.
