Runway shows and exhibitions are the most common means for fashion brands to present their collections. However, for independent designers, such venues can be costly and difficult.
Uniik" is a community app that brings together fashion lovers with a sense of style. With this in mind, "Uniik," a community app for fashion lovers with a sense of style, was launched.
As the first phase of the project, "Uniik FASHION COLLECTION 2022," an exhibition exclusively for independent designers, was held. Eight unique designers participated in the exhibition.
The exhibit includes "Dan" by fashion YouTuber Hazm and "Ballsy Brothers" by 20-year-old designer Yosei Yasufuku.
The designers themselves were present at each booth, communicating with visitors and presenting the appeal of their brands in their own words. As there were many promising brands exhibiting, fashion professionals could be seen at the venue.
Yoshiki Ando, designer of "Reformed," is himself an avid "Unique" user. He said, "'Unique' is great because only fashion information comes up. While many people on other SNSs post individual items, Unique has a lot of styling posts, which has inspired me to try my hand at it," he comments on the app's appeal.
Many of the brands participating in this event mainly sell their products through e-commerce sites. In this context, the "Uniik FASHION COLLECTION 2022" seemed to have solved the problem of not being able to convey the attractiveness of the clothes and the feel of the fabrics.
Many "Uniq" users also visited the event. They enjoyed the "Uniq FASHION COLLECTION 2022" in their own ways, such as looking at the exhibits and interacting with the designers to get a feel for the brand's appeal.
Mr. Narimiya of Enlife, which operates the app, said, "This exhibition was born out of a desire to support independent and young designers in Japan. In these times when we go out less and less and have fewer opportunities to show off our fashion, I hope that 'Unique' will help to further boost the fashion industry," he said.
Unique" will continue to support independent and young designers. We are excited to see how this initiative will affect the Japanese fashion industry in the future.
