The past two years have brought lifestyle and sports much closer together, aided by the Corona disaster and the accompanying increase in wellness awareness. The recently announcedNIKEs efforts are sure to make the connection between fashion and sports even stronger.
Summer 2022, led by Simon Port-Jacques Jacques, winner of the "LVMH Prize" Special Jury Prize at the age of just 25.JACQUEMUS.and Nike will release a collaborative collection.
The mission of this collaboration is to "bring out the best in today's athletes, who are active in various fields, more than ever before. The collaboration proposes a sports style for women that combines the minimalist design typical of "Jacquemus" with Nike's technology. The collection will include sportswear inspired by vintage ACGs, which Jacquemus is a fan of, as well as footwear based on the Air Humara training shoe, which debuted in 1997.

Upon launching the collection, she said, "In collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that was a minimalist interpretation of women's sportswear. I was inspired by vintage ACG and the Nike campaigns of the 90s, so I used these images to design my own interpretation of women's sportswear with details that appeal to the senses, neutral colors, and the Air Humara, which I love. The collection is accessible to a wide variety of people and is a natural fusion of Jacquemus' style and Nike's functionality," said Jacquemus.
The official release date in Japan is still undecided. We can't wait to see what kind of sportswear Nike and Jackums will create together.
