Lee denim is known as a favorite of the famous American actor James Dean. The "101Z" five-pocket jeans and the "91J" overalls have been loved by many as masterpieces.

With the help of EDIFICE, MARKAWARE has updated these two items. While retaining the rugged mood of denim to a good degree, it has been sublimated into an elegant item in just the right degree. Of course, the fabrics are also chosen in a way that is typical of this brand, which claims to be sustainable.

This denim follows the details of the "101Z" from the 1950s, and incorporates the crease denim silhouette that is a staple of the "Markerware" line. This item can be worn as elegantly as slacks.

A double-ring belt of the same fabric is attached at the waist to add a modern detail. The double leather patches and the rearranged woven name and flasher are also not to be missed.

The fabric is made from organic cotton grown in Turkey and rope-dyed in Japan to express a deep, bluish indigo color unique to "Lee". It is slowly and carefully woven on a shuttle loom to create a left-handed twill denim fabric.

On the other hand, these overalls are a collaboration based on Lee Overall's signature "91-SB. The distinctive triple seams, shield back, and BIB pockets are retained, but updated with tapered lines that taper from the relaxed waist to the hem. The silhouette is urban and sophisticated.

The typewriter fabric woven from organic wool from the Patagonia region of Argentina is characterized by its smoothness, moderate firmness, and good skin feel. This item is available in two colors, black and navy. The navy color with outstanding stitching is good, and the stoic-looking black is also attractive.

The product goes on sale today (May 27). It will be available at all Edifice stores, PARKING in Nakameguro, a directly managed store of MARKAWARE, and the online sites of both brands, as well as on the Lee website.

This is an elegant update of denim, which is often associated with an earthy smell. Even those who don't usually wear denim may find this one worth a try.
