A unique collaboration for the first time in NPB history! The Yomiuri Giants and Yohji Yamamoto unveiled their jet-black uniforms.

The design is modish, with jet-black as its base color. On the chest, however, the word "GIANTS" is ....... The coloring is nothing like the usual Yomiuri Giants uniform, but it is official. Moreover, it was designed by Yohji Yamamoto.

The uniforms, the result of the collaboration between the two companies, will be worn during the three-game series against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars at Tokyo Dome starting on September 6 (Tuesday). What makes it so special is not only the coloring, but also the fact that it is the first time in NPB history that a designer brand's logo has been used on an official player's uniform!

The whole body, from head to pants, is black. It stands out even more when seen on the field. This is a nice collaboration, as the fans are happy to see their favorite players stand out, and the players can play with a fresh feeling by wearing different uniforms than usual. Incidentally, the caps are made by New Era and the official players' uniforms are made by Mizuno, two companies that are official suppliers of the Yomiuri Giants.
