We often hear that "fact is stranger than fiction," but that doesn't always ring true.
However, a work based on a real-life experience, which is exactly what it sounds like, will go on sale at "TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS". However, it is a manga. And it's extremely funny.
That is the first manga, "39-sai no Chiken Gasshuku (License Training Camp for 39-Year-Olds): Create Your Own Story (Kyoikusha)," which was self-published by Takuya Gomei of the comedy trio Grunge under the name of Gometan.
At the age of 39, this work is a compilation of events that occurred at a driver's license training camp that he and imai of group_inou visited. The story begins with a conversation between the two and manga artist Saho Yamamoto at "Stand Kagen," a bar in Umegaoka. The story progresses without much effort, but is full of fun and laughter thanks to the unique personalities of the faculty (?).
This work has been highly anticipated, with buzz on Twiiter and sold out at "Comitia". Manga artist Gometan's long-cherished wish came true, and "Tokyo Culture by BEAMS" was chosen as the location for the first actual store sales.
A number of goods will also be available at this pop-up.
T-shirts, caps, stickers, key chains, and even clear files by obak, who created the T-shirts that appear in the works, will be available. These items are sure to be irresistible to fans of the work.
In addition, during the pop-up period, there will be a special offer for purchasers: a portrait drawing event on July 9 (Sat) and a talk show featuring Gometan, imai and Saho Yamamoto on July 17 (Sun).

Event Details: Comedian "Grunge" Gomei, aka Gometan, will provide portrait services. You can have your portrait drawn in about 5 minutes on a driver's license type format prepared for this event.
