Long-awaited" is probably the right word. The Portland-based outdoor brand "POLER" will open its first concept store in Japan in Odaiba for a limited time.
Directed by photographer Benji Wagner, the brand has gained popularity for its visual images that evoke a sense of depth and its lineup of nooks and crannies. The brand was launched in 2010 as a new outdoor brand that exquisitely mixes the lifestyles of the many surfers, skaters, and snowboarders who live around them with the outdoors.
The brand's highly freewheeling designs, with an air of road-tripping, playfulness, and tenderness, quickly gained popularity, and the visuals evoke the atmosphere of Portland, the birthplace of the brand.
The store will open at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba on Thursday, April 27.
The store will feature this season's new items and standard items, as well as items that are only available at this store. In addition, other brands that are highly related to "Polar" will also be on display.
The items themselves, as well as the visual images and other aspects of the brand's worldview, are attractive, and it is worth seeing what kind of concepts and images will be delivered to customers at the brand's stores.
