AIR FORCE 1 by Atmos and Nike is too innovative. Inspired by Japanese izakaya culture!

With the "Baby Star" triple collaboration "CLASSIC LEATHER" and the rat-inspired "2002R," "atmos" is always bringing fresh perspectives to the sneaker culture. Next, "NIKE AIR FORCE 1" will be released, inspired by Japan's world-famous "Izakaya" culture.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the debut of the "AIR FORCE 1," the first basketball shoe equipped with "NIKE AIR. Based on such a memorable model, this work uses bash leather for the overlays and ivory canvas for the underlays. It is finished in a subdued tone reminiscent of a good old Japanese izakaya. The design of a Shigaraki-ware raccoon dog, a good-luck charm for prosperous business, stamped on the heel of the right foot is also not to be missed.

To commemorate the release of this work, "Ichibansei," an izakaya supervised by "ATMOS," will open for a limited time at the "TRUNK (KUSHI)" kushiyaki restaurant in the "TRUNK (HOTEL)" in Shibuya. The space is a place where visitors can enjoy the unique Japanese izakaya culture and Nike's legacy, including chic kushiyaki skewers, alcoholic beverages, and past "AIR FORCE 1" models on display throughout. The release of the "NIKE AIR FORCE 1 MIDʼ07 LX "IZAKAYA"" will start on August 25 (Thu), and "ICHIBANBOSHI" will be open until August 28 (Sun).
