Sensing this problem, Fabric Tokyo is holding "White Friday 2022" instead of black Friday.

This campaign, now in its fifth year, is an effort to recover fabrics that have been held in stock for a long time for various reasons from Japanese fabric mills and wholesalers and bring them back to life as made-to-order items.

The "White Friday 2022" lineup includes 53 fabrics from 19 carefully selected series. The fabrics have been selected by members of Fabric Tokyo, who have traveled to various regions of Japan to talk directly with fabric producers.

Not only custom-made suits, but for the first time in the campaign, fabrics for shirts are already available. You will have a lot of fun choosing.

Bishu , one of the most famous wool producing areas, is located in the center of Aichi Prefecture. In Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, which has served as a gateway for natural fibers spun into yarn, a long-established fabric manufacturer that has continued to manufacture products with dedication has brought together its commitment and skilled craftsmanship to develop this light tweed. Tweed tends to have an image of being difficult to handle or heavy to wear, but this fabric is blended with nylon to keep it light and beautiful for a long time. While being comfortable to wear, it also gives a sense of dignity and neatness, making it ideal for fall and winter dress styles.

This denim-like fabric is made by combining "paper yarn" made from Mino washi, which has been produced in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, for more than 1,300 years, and firm wool. It is characterized by the functionality and taste of washi, such as its moisture absorbency and antibacterial properties, as well as its firmness. Although it has the drawback that it wrinkles easily and is difficult to use in business situations, the unique expression created by its unevenness is recommended for those who are looking for something a little different from others.
