Vans' Half Cab™ was born in 1992 out of the DIY spirit of the skaters of the day. They wanted a more comfortable shoe, so they cut the high cut themselves and customized it into a mid-cut.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of this classic, Vans Skateboarding will release the Skate Half Cab™ '92 GTX.

This time around, the iconic silhouette of the Half Cab™ has been retained and updated with a combination of suede and Gore-Tex to create an all-weather shoe. In addition, the gum rubber sole is reinforced with a six-stick rubber compound. This further improves the grip, board feel, support, and durability that skaters demand.

In addition, apparel such as loose-fitting pants, T-shirts, and caps are also available. Each is black and features the original "Half Cab™" logo.
The "Skate Half Cab '92 GTX," which pays homage to Vans' heritage, is now available at Vans Store stores, select Vans Skateboarding stores, and the ABC-MART GRAND STAGE online store.
