"The Camp" Sneak into FREAK, a solo exhibition currently being held at FREAK'S STORE! What does photographer RK have to say about the highlights?

To convey the excitement of the event, we would like to report on the reception party held on December 16 (Fri.).

For RK, Furukawa City is his hometown, and this exhibition is a memorable event, his first triumphant return to the city. Although it may be an exaggeration to call it a compilation of his past works, the exhibition hall is lined with his representative works including "Taipei Bridge Motorcycle" and many others. Even through the monitor, the works are dynamic, and the actual works are even more impressive! Enjoying a wide variety of works with a sense of realism is one of the best parts of "FREAK".

The venue was soon filled to capacity with RK's friends and influencers who have close ties to the Freaks Store, while a DJ played pleasant music. In addition to local news stations and newspapers, a staff member of the Furukawa City Hall was also in attendance, indicating the high level of attention paid to this solo exhibition. RK-san was smiling from start to finish.

Here are three key points to fully enjoy "FREAK" through RK's words.

(1) Three new works on the theme of "Furukawa".

For his first solo exhibition in his hometown, he took three photos on the theme of Furukawa. The one in front of the neon sign was taken by hometown actressSome-no ArikiMr. Kato. We went to the same elementary school and junior high school, and when I asked him about it, he told me that our houses are also very close (laugh). The portrait and night view taken by Mr. Arirai were taken on the rooftop of an apartment building near Furukawa Station. The night view includes the area where I used to live.

This T-shirt is a brand created by Yuta Hosokawa of "Readymade" and Los Angeles-based multi-artist Kari DeWitt.St. MichaelThis is a special order from "The Vintage Wear", a company that often uses vintage clothing graphics and old advertising designs as image sources. I love camping too, so I often find that time flies by when I'm shopping here. However, I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to go camping, so all I've been able to buy is new gear (laughs).
