In front of JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station, there is a spot for enjoying and nurturing culture calledEast Shizuoka Arts & Sports / Hirobawas born.
H.L.N.A. was selected by Shizuoka City as the partner to run the event. Led by Ryu Nakamura, the organization aims to revitalize the board sports industry, including surfing, skating, snowboarding, and BMX, and to train the next generation of athletes under the theme of what can be done for the next generation.
In front of the station is a vast 24,000 m2 site that includes a roller sports park, a grass plaza, and a parking lot and event space.
The skate park in the Roller Sports Park is an all-weather indoor facility equipped with world-standard sections and plans to host world-class contests for both professional and amateur skaters in the future. It is a section for skaters to drool over.
In addition, a lawn area has been established to serve as a third place for citizens.
It is very flexible with movable chairs and tables, and will also host outdoor workshops, culture schools, and yoga classes in the future.
Already, events such as film screenings and bouldering events have been held.
