The base model is based on Salomon's famous "XT-6," a popular series that has been supported by top athletes in the ultra distance racing world since the original model was released in 2013.

Mr. Shikama laid out a new textile design for this body. The background of this project is related to his respect for Shinjuku, Tokyo, where he lived for seven years.

The paisley pattern of velvet upholstered on the marble of Kabukicho buildings and club chairs is sublimated into the brand's own textile called "PERSONAL DATA TEXTILE" and boldly adopted for the upper. The paisley pattern is gradated in light purple, giving it a layered look and a unique atmosphere. It is a finish that has never been seen in the "XT-6" before, where the beauty of the man-made and natural worlds coexist.

In addition, the orange letters "DISCORDANCE EXPLORATION" are placed between the top and midsole for a stylish accent.

This innovative pair has a strange nostalgia and a whiff of the street at the same time. Yet, it also has enough potential to cross a variety of environments, from outdoor to fashion to lifestyle. Be sure to get your hands on them on the release date, Tuesday, February 14.
