A new gallery is opening in Osaka's proud merchant district. The opening will feature an exhibition by Osaka-born photographer Daido Moriyama.

Art, which has been put into various formats such as photographs, printed matter, and canvases, has been experiencing a major boom in recent years. Many of you may be visiting galleries more often after work or on weekends.

To further boost the art boom, a contemporary art gallery called "i GALLERY" will open tomorrow in the Senba Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Arcade in Semba, Osaka, known as a merchant town.

Eye Gallery" has its origins in street culture, and presents art that is not bound by genres, such as urban, lowbrow, pop art, and photography. The concept of the logo is "container" and the design is based on the concept of theEric Elms.is working on this project.

For the opening of the exhibition, the organizers offered Daido Moriyama, a native of Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture, who has a large number of fans around the world.

The exhibition will be held in two phases, with the first phase titled "STREET: OSAKA" featuring about 50 photographs of Osaka taken in the mid to late 1990s, and the second phase titled "STREET: NEW YORK" featuring photographs taken in New York City in 1971 and 2010.

The birth of "ai Gallery" is highly anticipated as a new art destination in the Kansai region. The space of the brand-new building in the shopping district promises to stimulate all five senses.
