Harajuku-based reservation-only plant store RAFLUM lands in Osaka. The first physical store features a wide range of rare plants and flowerpots!

Going camping or mountain climbing is nice for an extraordinary feeling, but I think it is also wonderful to have plants in your room, water them, look at them, and enjoy nature in a more familiar way.

So what kind of plants do you want? If you are wondering, the place to visit is RAFLUM Osaka, which will open on the 8th floor of Hankyu Umeda on April 12 (Wed.). This is the first physical store by a Harajuku-based reservation-only plant store that carries rare tuberous plants and agaves, which have become increasingly popular in recent years.

The 8th floor of the Hankyu Umeda main store has been renovated under the theme of "Harmonious Coexistence of Nature and People" and has now expanded to Osaka. To commemorate the opening, in addition to the ceramic artists we have been working with, we have invited new artists such as Takashi Baba, who is active both in Japan and abroad, and will be selling a variety of flowerpots in addition to plants.

Takashi Baba ¥29,700-
An up-and-coming Bizen Pottery artist, active in Japan and abroad, created a limited edition pot for RAFLUM. It is a one-of-a-kind work with a pattern that resembles a plant putting down roots in the earth.

Shohei Harada ¥11,000-
After working as a potter for three years at Hase Seito in Mie Prefecture, he studied under Mashiko ceramic artist Seiichi Imanari. He has been creating unique works by utilizing his experience as a potter and incorporating delicate designs into his work.

Adachi Mari ASK
Ceramic artist based in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture. His iconic works incorporate his signature motif of a skull and crossbones pattern using a transfer technique. While inheriting traditional Japanese culture, his designs with a modern flavor are highly acclaimed overseas.

Ken Sakamoto ¥11,000-
A ceramic artist who founded "Tatsumigama" in Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, and now lives and works in Sakai. His works, which combine a trinity of complex forms, colors, and textures, are popular both in Japan and abroad.

Tatsumi Matasuke ¥2,970-
An up-and-coming artist-creator who pursues a balance between reality and unreality, with skulls as his main focus. His works can be used as pots for planting tuberous plants and agaves, or as art objects.

Yusuke Isobe from 5,500 yen
He creates a variety of works as a ceramic artist at a long-established Kasama-yaki kiln, which has been in business for 240 years. Based on the reliable techniques of a certified traditional craftsman of Kasama-yaki, his detailed works are exquisitely balanced in terms of carving and texture. The works are beautiful and sophisticated with a sense of security and warmth.

Under the title of Hyper Pot Creator, he creates pots (pots) that he wants. Using the pot as a canvas, each piece of art is hand-painted, embodying a blend of Japanese and Western styles.
