His solo exhibition as an artist, "in-Spire Breath of life," will be held from June 10 (Sat) to August 27 (Sun) in the exhibition room of the "Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine Treasure House.

The handiwork of artisans is timeless, yet updated with the times. He says that this project was started with the single-minded intention of spreading the thoughts and expressions that are put into these works to the world.

The participants include "GO ON," a creative unit of successors to Kyoto's traditional crafts, and artisans such as Shohei Baba, the third generation owner of Maruhiro, known for its Hasami-ware pottery. A sound system created by artists from "Rhizomatiks" was installed at the venue, from which music by Ichiro Yamaguchi of "Sakanaction" and Shotaro Aoyama of "NF," a project he organizes, echoed, thus combining traditional crafts with modern technology. A completely new production will be staged in the solemn space of a shrine.
