Nowadays, anyone can take a picture at the push of a button, and the color and angle of view can be manipulated as much as desired with processing technology. This is why we have to rethink the significance of a photographer's existence, and the photographers introduced here are those who have built their own worldviews while sincerely considering the significance of their work.

Photographer.Takuya Maedawas born in 1996 and until recently studied under photographer Takahiro Otsuji. To mark his entrance, a photography exhibition will be held at "CUBE 1, 2, 3" on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie.

The exhibition will feature photographs taken over a five-year period, from when he was a junior in college in 2019, when he says he began taking photographs, to the present. The content of the photos, including portraits, snaps from abroad, and abstract photos, is intentionally not unified, so that you will feel his unique eye more strongly when you see the list.

The high color saturation and contrast of the photographs are striking, but at the same time, they draw the viewer in. This is due, in part, to the depth of expression on the subject's face, which can be neither joyful nor sad.

Because the photographs are difficult to describe in a few words, the exhibition method is not based on a format, but rather on a variety of formats to suit the photographs.
