London-based brand STUDIO NICHOLSON opened its first flagship store in Japan, STUDIO NICHOLSON AOYAMA, on Friday, July 14. Creative director Nick Wakeman describes Japan as his second home, which has influenced his designs.
AKAKO WOOL SHIRT ¥46,200 each
KYO PANT ¥49,500 each
To celebrate the opening, a shirt and pants set-up will be released as a limited edition item. Based on the brand's popular oversized shirt and two-tuck volume pants, the material used is washable wool from Bishu. It feels great against the skin and is easy to care for at home. Available in two colors: gray and navy.
The delicate combination and balance of natural and man-made materials used in the interior of the flagship store is a true reflection of Studio Nicholson's creations. Why not take this opportunity to visit?
Finally, here are Nick Wakeman's comments.
Coming from London, I remember my first visit to Tokyo in 1999 as a perfect entity, with an impressive color palette of beige, brown, and cream, lit by an orderly and beautiful light.
I feel deeply moved to open a STUDIO NICHOLSON store in Japan, a country that has influenced my designs for the past 20 years and that I love like a second home.
