The product was a spirit distilled from deerskin.

Mithsaya" uses fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and herbs grown by the company itself, as well as the rich bounty produced by trusted partners throughout Japan, to create products using the techniques of fermentation and distillation. Under the motto of "giving shape to small discoveries from nature," the company has released over 150 varieties of spirits, processed products that lock in the bounty of the season, and products.

Enderschema, which resonated with Mitosaya through the keyword "craftsmanship," spent several years distilling leather to create a special spirit called "DEAR DEER.

The search for leather that is harmless even if put in the mouth led us to deerskin. The leather is made from raw deer skin that has had all impurities removed by hand, without the use of tannins or chemicals normally used in the tanning process, and distilled from Japanese pepper, or houttuynia, which produces bright red berries on winter mountains, and aged in an oak barrel.

In fact, the first prototype was shown to the public at the "mitosaya open day" held in 2021, and in 2022, they released "DAPPER PEPPER" aged with deerskin and houttuynia, which was finally completed after an update this time.

As a specific improvement, while in the previous "DAPPER PEPPER" the deer skin was soaked in rice spirits and aged, in this "DEAR DEER" the deer skin flavor is extracted more delicately by distilling the skin itself. The mild wild taste of hay and the fresh stimulation of Japanese pepper give the beer a depth of flavor that can be enjoyed.
 

The bottle comes in two sizes, a 100 ml size that can be used as a trial, and a 500 ml size that can be used at home. Each comes with a bottle label made of vegetable tannin leather by Enderschema and a special leather holder. After you finish drinking, you can use it as a small container for small items.
