As if to add to the excitement, a collaboration between "Canterbury" and "SSZ" will go on sale.
Although "S.S.Z." is well-known for HOUYHNHNM's and "AH.H," it may come as a surprise to some that the director, Tadayuki Kato, used to be a rugger.
So it is not surprising, but rather a collection that goes perfectly with each other.
The theme is "SCRUM. We will introduce this capsule collection named "canterbury and SSZ SCRUM Collection.
The visuals were directed by stylist Akio Hasegawa, who is a regular friend of Mr. Kato.
The items of interest are a big silhouette rugby shirt, a cardigan, and pants in an elegant all-navy color using Canterbury's typical tough fabric.
Rugby jerseys, which can be said to be the identity of Canterbury, are said to have been made of wool and then switched to cotton in the 1950s. In the late 1970s, the "RUGGER LOOP® 52/48" was developed, knit from a blend of cotton 52% and polyester 48% yarns, which was stronger, lighter, and more sweat absorbent and quick-drying.
This item uses the thickest yarn among the RUGGER LOOP® 52/48 fabrics spun into a heavy-weight fabric.
