A spectacular nighttime Sumida River run with New Balance 1080v13.

Although it is an easy sport to start, running is one of those things that makes you sit up and take notice when you are ready to begin. All you need is the motivation to take the first step. New Balance has released a new pair of shoes that will help you get started. The name is "1080v13.

The soft ride you feel the moment you put them on, the cushioning you feel as you start running, and the city-like design that makes them perfect for everyday use... The list goes on and on. The list goes on and on, and we are sure that you will be able to enjoy the charms of this pair of shoes. The group run was held to give a variety of runners a chance to experience the appeal of these shoes, from beginners who are "interested in running," to those who have "not run for a while," to serious runners who spend their days in races.

On the day of the event, we will gather at TOTOKEN, a running station with a sauna and bar, produced by HOUYHNHNM Running Club♡. The soft fresh form of the sauna is ideal for jogging, and studies have shown that after a slow jog, it is easier to get "TOTONOU (revitalize)". At 19:00, all participants will put on the 1080v13 and begin the night run along the Sumida River.

The course that we will be running on this day is a loop around both banks of the Sumida River. The course is about 4 km long and is a slow jog at a comfortable pace.

This is a spectacular night run where you can cross illuminated bridges, pass houseboats, and admire the lights of the Sky Tree and tower mansions. The Sumida River at night is illuminated for runners to relax from urban fatigue. Drive through the glittering lights with the exhilarating cushioning of the "1080v13".

The goal was reached in no time at all, while we were gawking at the magnificent scenery. The women took a quick commemorative photo. It felt so good! It seemed that everyone enjoyed the Sumida River run and the comfort of the "1080v13" shoes.

After entering the sauna with a moderately relaxed body and feeling more refreshed and TOTONOU(revitalized) than usual, we asked the three participants what they thought of the shoes.

I've recently started to feel a bit out of shape, and I just wanted to get into running. I had not worn many running shoes in the past, so I was surprised at how light and easy they were to run in. The gradation of colors and the rough mesh upper make me want to wear them as sneakers as they have a high fashion design.

I run in treerun races and full marathons, but I'm a skipping runner, so today was my first run in about two months. Even before I started running, I felt good the moment I put my foot through it! I could feel the softness of the shoes so easily and clearly. I don't think there are many shoes that allow you to feel the softness so clearly. I'm in the recovery period between races. The "1080v13" is just the right shoe for when I want to get in shape. I always change into my recovery sandals on the way back home because it is very important to take care of my feet after a full marathon, but these shoes were so comfortable that I wanted to wear them next time. Also, the sinking sensation makes it easy to be aware of your center of gravity, which I think makes them ideal for runners who want to improve their form.
