Stylist Koji Oyamada's book "Nani ga miteru yume. Daisuke Iga, Yuta Kaji, and Hiroaki Nagahata will participate in a talk show at Aoyama Book Center to celebrate its publication.

Most of the fashion styling we usually see is prepared by stylists in advance, but the book we will be discussing here is the opposite, or rather, different.

The author, who is also the author of the book, discusses styling, photography, documentation, and, by extension, what it means for a person to wear clothes.Takashi Oyamada. This is one of those books that makes you want to think about it through the perspective of

. titled "Nani ga miteru yume". . published by Dog Years on August 11 of this year.

Stylist Mr. Oyamada started this project in January 2020, calling on friends and acquaintances and began photographing him or her as subjects. This process was repeated intermittently until May 2023, eventually resulting in a total of 287 subjects and 22 photographers taking pictures.

The photographs were taken in the places where the subjects live and where Mr. Oyamada visited with them. The photographs, which were taken by gently adding a single piece of clothing or equipment collected by Ms. Oyamada to the subject's outfit of the day, gently stitch and unravel between portrait, fashion snapshot, and documentary.

Incidentally, the title of the book, "Naniga miteru yume," was inspired by a passage in the PlayStation role-playing game "Chrono Cross" and was named after it.

Aoyama Book Center has decided to hold a talk show to commemorate the publication of the magazine.
